Venerable Elders from around the world travelled to New York to attend the opening ceremony of the Mahayana Temple.

On June 11, 1984, Vice Premier Wan Li of the State Council of China met the American Buddhist Confederation delegation which included Presidents Ven. Elder Shouye, Ven. Elder Ledu, and Ven. In 1987, Venerables of the American Buddhist Confederation, Mr. Ying Xingjiu, and laywoman Jin Yutang held a reception for the delegation of Ven. Elders Mingyang and Zhenchan of the Buddhist Association of China (the BAC) at the World Trade Center, New York City.

In 1987, President Zhao Puchu of the Buddhist Association of China (BAC) led a religious delegation to visit the United States. President Ven. Elder Shouye and Vice President Ven. Elder Fayun of the American Buddhist Confederation, laywoman Jin Yutang, and others warmly received the delegation. The meeting laid a solid foundation for partnership building between Chinese and American Buddhists. Beginning with second from left: Ven. In the 1990s, Ven. Elder Haolin, Fayun, Minzhi, Ledu, Shouye, Xichen, and Renjun led the community of local monastics and laity to welcome the visiting Chinese Buddhist delegation of Ven. Elder Miaoshan, Mingyang, and Zhenchan.

In February 2019, the American Buddhist Confederation held a reception for a delegation of the Buddhist Association of China at the Sheraton Hotel, New York City. 

On February 19, 2019, Buddhist representatives from China, the United States, and Canada held a symposium at the Fawang Temple, New York City. During the meeting, consensus was reached on the date, location, and other issues regarding the Second Three-nation Buddhist Forum. A memorandum was signed accordingly. From left to right: Ven. In April 2019, a visiting delegation of the American Buddhist Confederation visited the Buddhist Association of China. President Ven. Mingyu of the Confederation presented calligraphy to Vice President Ven. Yanjue of the BAC.

In April 2019, the visiting delegation of the American Buddhist Confederation visited the Lingyin Temple, Hangzhou, China.

In April 2019, the delegation of President Ven. Mingyu of the American Buddhist Confederation visited Mt. Wutai, China. The delegation was warmly received by Ven. Changshan, President of the Buddhist Association of Mt. Wutai.

In April 2019, the delegation of President Ven. Mingyu of the American Buddhist Confederation visited the Zhulin Temple at Mt. Wutai. The delegation was warmly received by Ven. Miaojiang, Vice President of the Buddhist Association of China. The two parties exchanged gifts during the meeting.

In April 2019, the delegation of President Ven. Mingyu of the American Buddhist Confederation visited the stupa of the tooth relic of the Buddha at Badachu, Beijing. The delegation was warmly received by the abbot, Ven. Changzang of Lingguang Temple.

In April 2019, the delegation of President Ven. Mingyu of the American Buddhist Confederation visited the National Religious Affairs Administration of China. The delegation was warmly received by Vice President Dai Chenjing. 

In April 2019, the delegation of President Ven. Mingyu of the American Buddhist Confederation visited Mt. Putuo, China. The delegation was warmly received by Abbot Ven. Daoci of the Puji Temple. 

In June 2019, the delegation of President Ven. Mingyu of the American Buddhist Confederation visited the American Bodhi Center, Texas. The delegation was warmly received by the abbot, Ven.
