Elders (from left to right) Fayun, Shouye and Haolin attended the ground-breaking ceremony of the Mahayana Temple, New York City. Venerable Elders from around the world travelled to New York to attend the opening ceremony of the Mahayana Temple. On June 11, 1984, Vice Premier Wan Li of the State Council of China met the American Buddhist Confederation delegation which included Presidents Ven. Elder Shouye, Ven. Elder Ledu, and Ven. In February 2019, the American Buddhist Confederation held a reception for a delegation of the Buddhist Association of China at the Sheraton Hotel, New York City. On February 19, 2019, Buddhist representatives from China, the United States, and Canada held a symposium at the Fawang Temple, New York City. During the meeting, consensus was reached on the date, location, and other issues regarding the Second Three-nation Buddhist Forum. A memorandum was signed accordingly. From left to right: Ven.
